Summary

gcc 12 defaults to emitting DWARF 5, but this is not yet supported by
our libdwarf, and thus by ctfconvert.

263	The old code which used to add -gdwarf-2 didn't bother, but it's easy to check.

Check for -g[0-3] as well.
