From many mails exchanged with port committers I learned that the semantics of CONFLICTS entries was not correctly understood by them. While the existing text is formally correct, it has been found to not be correctly understood in many cases.
I have been asked by some committers why the text was not clearer and whether I could provide an explanation of what the examples in that chapter imply.
This suggested extra text is based on the assumption that review https://reviews.freebsd.org/D32694 has been committed.
(Until then there is a "same origin" exclusion instead of a "same package base name" exclusion, but all other details apply.)
