Actually rc.sendmail is a different beast which is not used at all. and that I will remove entirely, as for rc.conf is you remove the rc.sendmail(8) I can push it your change.

rc.sendmail is a remnant from the past, before /etc/rc.d/sendmail (which is what is in use right now.)
