Summary

This makes the left column narrower, leaving more space for the text.
I'm not entirely sure if there's some mdoc convention regulating this?

The change looks fine.

Regarding mdoc style: no, there is no documented recommendation for -width. I posted a patch documenting the conventions we have: https://reviews.freebsd.org/D33394
